Quarterly equipment planning in one place

Regions stopped emailing spreadsheets around: equipment demand is now entered, calculated, and approved in a single flow.

Operations, Planning

01The problem

Every quarter, each region emailed its equipment demand spreadsheet. The asset team spent days merging versions, fixing formulas, and chasing whoever had not replied, and nobody was ever sure which number was right.

02What we did

We built an app where each region enters demand by equipment type and quarter, and the balance is calculated on the spot from the actual fleet. Access is granted through approval, and every cycle is recorded from start to finish.

03What changed

Planning now has a single trusted source. Errors are caught as data is entered, and anyone can see who entered and who approved each number.
